covid-19: university updates and information

covid-19 has caused unprecedented disruptions around our region, the nation, and the world. arcadia moved all courses this fall 2020 semester online and suspended on-campus housing for our students. since the fall semester began, we have made significant progress with the early phases of our campus reopening plan, including having small groups of students engaging in highly controlled, in-person learning opportunities. information on our spring 2021 semester is below. 

the arcadia university dashboard was created to provide information about the number of confirmed covid-19 cases among students and employees on campus.

i’m feeling sick. what should i do?
the number of covid-19 cases are spiking nationwide. we ask the arcadia community to be diligent in knowing the symptoms, taking safety precautions, and reporting to the covid care team.
 

quick reference guide. 

for students for employees  questions or concerns?
  1. know the symptoms
  2. call student health services to schedule a phone evaluation.  
  3. did you test positive for covid-19?
    - fill out the self-disclosure form.

    - call your supervisor. 
  4. did you test positive for covid-19, and you were recently on campus? did someone in your home recently test positive?

  • have you been in close contact with someone positive?
  • i visited campus within 48 hours and tested positive. what should i do?
  • someone in my home has covid, what should i do?

i’ve reported my positive test. what’s the next step?

once you self report you will be contacted by a member of the arcadia university contact tracing team shortly. this team will help you trace your most recent movements and contact those who may need to be informed they have been exposed to covid-19.

our spring 2021 semester plans and detailed information regarding these plans will be soon to follow. please know that any plans need to be flexible to respond to the unpredictable paths of covid-19 and this season's flu. our decisions this year have been grounded in the health and safety of the arcadia community, and that philosophy and our values will continue to drive university decisions moving forward.

fall 2020 semester

campus events planned for the fall will be moved online wherever possible, and possibly suspended, postponed, or canceled. contact conference services if you had any events planned on campus for the fall for revised planning.

 

arcadia university education abroad program updates

the university’s international travel policy outlines a protocol for consideration of all university-sponsored travel for all students, faculty, and staff. the decision to suspend any course or travel is based on travel health notices identified by the u.s. state department, and the centers for disease control and prevention (cdc), and the university’s travel assistance provider – international sos.
